A Little Faith Can Go a L-o-n-g Way

Our purpose is clearly defined by our vision, “that all human beings discover their full potential.” Every word—yes, every word—is there for a reason. To live up to the enormity of it requires a tremendous amount of faith; faith in a power greater than ourselves and our limited thinking. Our ultimate goal is that each and every human being we touch truly discovers their full potential.
People tend to put their faith in us for their pain. We have them put their faith in the power that made the body. We remind you how valuable you are, how incredible our creator made you to be, and how much hope and glory he placed within you. How amazing is it that through the innate intelligence released with an adjustment, you cannot only heal, but with faith in that power “you can move mountains”? Have faith because, “All things are possible to those that believe.”
A story, “Frank’s Story,” written by my friend, Dr. Ben Lerner, really drives our purpose as chiropractors home. “Every winter our practice changes slightly when the snowbirds flock to Florida and a few dozen new members come to our clinic. Frank came into us this year after being referred to us by his chiropractor in New York. He would go and see her when his neck hurt about once a month. When Frank came in to see us, his left arm hurt so badly he could not raise it. He was a very unhappy, negative man who complained about many things, including the way our office was different from what he was used to.
However, Frank went through our doctor’s report and saw that he had a need for three visits per week and not one visit per month. He questioned whether or not I could help him. I told him, “I will adjust your spine, you will traction and show up, and God will heal you.” He lost faith many times over the first several weeks as he could still not use his arm and pain was developing in his shoulder, his wrist hurt and now his neck hurt. I just kept telling him, “Have faith, have faith, have faith, have faith and have faith.”
After a while Frank started getting nicer. He started bringing us gifts and telling me what a great place we had here. The staff said, “He is like our grandpa.” Two weeks before Frank was to go back up north I adjusted him and said, “Your Power Is On!” Afterwards, he stopped me and said, “Doc, I want to tell you how much I love you and your staff. You are all really special.” He then added, “And one other thing,” as he lifted his arm all the way up over his head. This was really important to Frank…for he only has one arm.”
Some doctors and chiropractors would look to rid you of only your pains…we seek to relieve you of your burdens.
