Dr. Ziad Zayed

Dr. Ziad Zayed

Orland Hills

Education: National University of Health Sciences

Hometown: Chicago, IL

Dr. Zayed is known as the DC that loves turning “non-believers” into a “believers.” Many of his patients choose chiropractic as a last resort after trying many types of doctors who could not resolve ...their dysfunction. He assures them that a higher quality of life is possible and revels in the moment when they find pain relief with chiropractic treatment.

A Chicago native and lifelong health promoter, Dr. Zayed decided to become a chiropractor at the young age of seventeen, after losing his father to a massive heart attack caused by a rheumatoid arthritis pharmaceutical. While approved by the FDA, the drug did not have warning labels about its potentially deadly side effects. After suffering with this painful loss, Dr. Zayed vowed to help people heal naturally and avoid unnecessary prescription medications.

Wellness for Dr. Zayed means continually striving for goals despite life's constant obstacles. He's inspired by the Jimmy Dean quote: "I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination." To maintain his own wellness, Dr. Zayed works out at his gym, plays football and basketball, practices martial arts, meditates, plays piano and spends lots of time with his family — especially his godchildren.

Dr. Zayed earned his BS in biomedical science and his Doctor of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences, where he was a member of the Motion Palpation Club, served as a research assistant on a clinical study, and participated in a randomized controlled pilot study. A certified acupuncturist, he specializes in chiropractic wellness care and the kinesiology technique, RockTape.

Dr. Valerie Ann Moldovan

Dr. Valerie Ann Moldovan

Orland Hills

Education: Palmer College of Chiropractic

Hometown: Plainfield, IL

Genuine kindness and concern — that’s what Dr. Moldovan’s patients expect to feel in her clinic, over and over. She treats them as though they were close friends: welcoming them warmly, listening ...intently, and making them feel heard.

That’s how she felt growing up in Plainfield, IL where she was never alone or bored, because the area offered plenty of activities — from hiking trails to outdoor cafes to street fairs with live local music and dancing.

Dr. Moldovan remembers deciding to be a chiropractor in 5th grade. Since her father and grandfather always saw a chiropractor, it seemed only natural that she and her sisters would too. Observing her role models healing through natural, holistic health care inspired her passion to do the same someday. Promoting health and wellness is in her blood.

Wellness for Dr. Moldovan is the physical, emotional, and mental state of health and happiness. She maintains her own wellness by surrounding herself with people that make her feel safe, practicing yoga, walking, biking, and of course, getting regular adjustments.

Since earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Moldovan has been successfully treating patients with personalized pain management protocols that combine gentle adjustments with supervised active therapies.
