Patients view Dr. Shaw as an active community member who shares with the world the healing powers that are unlocked through chiropractic. They're fascinated both by his diverse skill set — both chiropractic ...and philanthropic. A Shinto priest in Japan taught him one of his favorite sayings, "There are many roads to the top of Mt. Fuji" — he strives to help patients find their own unique path to optimal health.
Dr. Shaw's own path began in Texas where he developed a strong sense of community. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Japanese from Brigham Young University, he went on to earn another, in biomedical science, as well as a Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences. A recipient of the Monbusho scholarship, a prestigious award given by the Japanese government to study in Japan, Dr. Phillip continued his studies in Japan and also served as a volunteer missionary in Japan for two years.
Wellness for Dr. Shaw requires staying active, curious and connected to others. He maintains his own wellness by learning new languages, playing and listening to music, cooking and spending time in nature with his wife. He's a proud father to five children, who mean the world to him.
