Our Chiropractors are here to serve you

Dr. Jacob Matrille

Dr. Jacob Matrille

West Addison

Education: Palmer College of Chiropractic

Hometown: Oakland Township, Michigan

Anyone who meets Dr. Matrille's appreciates his deeply-rooted desire to see them live their best lives, instead of just going through the motions. Whether it's playing with their kids again, taking walks ...with family again or optimizing mood and energy again, he's thrilled when patients are able to do things they thought they could no longer do. He lives for those post-treatment x-rays that show them the extent of their musculoskeletal improvement.

Dr. Matrille is grateful to have grown up in the quiet farming community of Oakland Township, Michigan surrounded by country roads, where he learned to appreciate nature, biology and the joys of hard work — his first job was carrying bales of hay for the farmer across the street. He also learned about the power of chiropractic care when it helped resolve his childhood asthma and get into shape for sports. What most impacted his decision to become a DC was witnessing how his mom conquered severe, chronic migraines to become a top Ironman triathlete who competes across the globe — pain free.

After completing a BS in psychology at Michigan State, he graduated cum laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he developed a passion for making care accessible to all. During a mission trip to Madagascar he helped underserved communities — an experience he treasures, as he insists that chiropractic care should not be reserved for only the wealthy and insured.

To maintain his wellness he runs marathons and coaches beach and indoor volleyball, kickball, softball and ultimate Frisbee leagues. He also spends lots of time with his young daughter, as well as volunteers for Special Olympics, The Listening Ear Crises Center and various LGBT groups.

Dr. Matrille is also huge advocate for organ and tissue donation and has donated a kidney to a close friend. He truly wants to be the change he wishes to see in the world by starting with what you he do for the people close to him. He's inspired by his favorite Malcolm X quote:" If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything."

Dr. Anjelica Maranan

Dr. Anjelica Maranan

West Addison

Education: National University of Health Sciences

Hometown: Streamwood, IL

Dr. Anjelica Maranan grew up in Streamwood, IL. What she loved most was the community of neighborhood friends that surrounded her. “We would find any opportunity to do anything active together. I spent ...every summer with my friends, and we did everything from bike riding everywhere, to swimming at the pool, to working out at the gym or outside together, or hanging out at the driving range.”

Inspired by her aunt, who is a beloved pediatrician in her community, Dr. Anjelica always knew she wanted to become a doctor and provide high-quality, compassionate care to those in need. Being a high school and collegiate athlete, she was initially drawn to sports medicine. After finishing a degree in kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she was conflicted about pursuing traditional medical school. It wasn't until she worked in a chiropractic office that she realized the beauty of preventative care and what that meant for long-term health.

What patients appreciate most about Dr. Anjelica is her compassion and warmth, and the way she treats each one of them as individuals, advocating for them and going the extra mile to find the root cause of their symptoms and reach their health & wellness goals.

Dr. Anjelica defines wellness as the ability to live without physical and mental restrictions. She maintains her overall wellness by lifting weights at the gym, playing golf, dancing, and most importantly, spending time with her young children and husband.
