Easy Homemade Granola Bars

Looking for a simple, no-bake treat to share with the whole family? This delicious, easy recipe for homemade granola bars is sure to please! All you need is a 9×9 pan and 5 ingredients. Here’s how it’s done!


  • 1 cup packed dates (pitted)
  • 1/4 cup local organic honey
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1 cup unsalted almonds, roasted and chopped 
  • 1 1/2 cups organic steel cut oats
  • Dried fruit, dark chocolate chips (optional)


  1. To start your homemade granola bars, process your dates in a food processor, creating a dough-like substance.

  2. Put your oats, almonds and dates in a large mixing bowl and set aside. 

  3. Warm your honey in a small saucepan, stir and pour over your oat mixture. Mix to disperse dates evenly.

  4. Transfer mixture to an 8×8-inch baking dish lined with parchment paper.

  5. Using a spatula or the bottom of a cup, press down your mixture until it’s evenly flattened and tightly packed.

  6. Cover and put in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.

  7. Eat, serve and enjoy your homemade granola bars!
