A recent case study published in the December 2011 edition of the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine reported on the benefits of Chiropractic care for a Bell’s Palsy patient who experienced a 90% improvement in symptoms after starting care.

Great news for Bell’s Palsy patients and the Chiropractic industry as a whole!
I had the opportunity of meeting a patient at Chiro One Wellness Center of Yorkville who had a similar experience and success with overcoming facial paralysis from Bell’s Palsy after starting Chiropractic care and he was really happy with his results as well! I love hearing all the amazing success stories from patients whose lives have been changed through the healing power of Chiropractic.

I’ve personally experienced the benefits of Chiropractic care (for chronic headaches) and it’s encouraging to hear the impact that it’s made in other’s lives. And to see the benefits of Chiropractic reported in the news is priceless!

Peoria chiropractor earns national attention
February 12, 2012Updated Feb 13, 2012 at 10:07 AM CSTA Peoria chiropractor recently earned national attention in his field by relieving a patient of Bell’s palsy symptoms through chiropractic care. Bell’s palsy causes facial paralysis when there is pressure on the facial nerve. Dr. Brad Cotton’s case study on the disease was printed in the December 2011 edition of the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine. It focuses on a patient who went five years without improvement until she sought chiropractic care.
The case study reports Cotton’s treatments improved her condition by 90 percent.
“There are structures that start in the lower back that go up through the neck and into the head called the sympathetic nervous system,” says Dr. Cotton. “So if you adjust the neck, it affects that system positively as well.”
Dr. Cotton said this new information will benefit other chiropractors as well as patients with Bell’s palsy.
