Dr. Schmitz grew up in Richfield, Wisconsin, where life in a small town gave her an early appreciation for the warmth and connection of close-knit communities, and the important of looking out for the people around her.

Her interest in healthcare also began at a young age. When her brother’s teammate broke his wrist during a baseball game, Dr. Schmitz’s instinct was to run right onto the field and help. That early experience helped spark an interest in caring for others that would eventually lead her to a career in healthcare and chiropractic.

In the clinic, Dr. Schmitz is known for her straightforward approach. She believes patients should have a clear understanding of where they are, what they’re working toward, and how their care can support those goals. By communicating openly and honestly, she works to create an experience in which patients feel informed and involved in their care.

“I want patients to understand what we’re doing and why we’re doing it,” said Dr. Schmitz. “When people have a clear picture of their health and their goals, they can feel more confident taking an active role in their care.”
