When Dr. Ronald Berger describes his childhood growing up in Mokena, IL, his love for his hometown comes through loud and clear. He describes Mokena as a town with a strong sense of community, where it ...was easy to foster meaningful connections. As a child, he loved having so many outdoor spaces to explore, perfect for an active, growing kid.
It was his own experiences with chiropractic care that inspired Dr. Ronald to become a chiropractor, and which made him so passionate about his work. When he first started chiropractic care in college, his lifelong allergies began to disappear, and his vertigo became almost non-existent. He found that he slept better, had more energy, and even his grades improved thanks to his improved ability to focus.
He discovered that all these things were made possible because chiropractic allows for a more normal nervous system function, which in turn allows for the body to function the way it was meant to. He was shocked and disappointed that no one had ever explained this to him before, and that a large segment of the population suffered needlessly because they didn’t have access to this information. His mission as a chiropractor today is to serve and educate the community at large to help them achieve their maximum potential and enable them to do the things they love.
Dr. Ronald defines wellness as striving towards being the best version of yourself. He feels that, for many people, there is a need to "redefine their normal,” and believes that he has an important role to play in helping them realize what being pain-free and having increased vitality feels like.
Dr. Ronald maintains his own wellness by having regular chiropractic adjustments and taking other steps to improve and maintain his mobility, like staying active by exploring the abundance of great hiking and walking trails his area has to offer.
