Dr. Marisa Smith
Our West Addison Chiropractor
Education: Logan College of Chiropractic
Hometown: Grayslake, IL
Dr. Marisa earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic and brings a compassionate, patient-first approach to care at the West Addison clinic. Her passion for helping others feel and function better stems from both personal experience and a lifelong interest in athletic health and performance.
Originally from Grayslake, Illinois, Dr. Marisa grew up in a close-knit neighborhood filled with kids her age. She fondly remembers spending her days outdoors with friends—playing kickball, watching movies, and enjoying the simple routines of a supportive community. That environment helped shape her appreciation for connection, movement, and overall well-being.
Her path to healthcare began through her own experience with knee pain after years of playing soccer. Going through physical therapy showed her just how powerful rehabilitation and guided care can be. In college, she worked closely with athletes as an athletic training student, which deepened her passion for sports medicine and recovery. It was during this time that she discovered chiropractic care and knew it was the right path for her—one where she could combine her love of movement with her desire to help others heal.
Patients appreciate Dr. Marisa for her genuine care and dedication to their well-being. She is known for truly listening and for her sincere desire to see every patient improve and feel better, even beyond her own direct treatment.
For Dr. Marisa, wellness means staying active, doing what you love, and supporting both physical and mental health through daily habits. She maintains her own wellness through regular exercise, spending time outdoors, and enjoying the beauty of Chicago. She believes that incorporating small moments of joy into everyday life is essential for long-term health and balance.
