Patients who come into Dr. Burney’s clinic can tell right away that he lives by his favorite quote, which defines what wellness means to him: “Be the change. Discover your voice. Live your why.” He strives to prevent disease and dysfunction and to help as many people as possible experience the results of preventative care: living longer, happier lives.
Dr. Burney first experienced the power of chiropractic while growing up in Freehold, New Jersey, In junior high, his mother noticed he’d been leaning to one side, and brought him to a chiropractor. Regular adjustments and active rehab helped him greatly improve his posture, and this experience was so impactful that it inspired him to seek a career in chiropractic care.
To maintain his own wellness Dr. Burney loves training and competing in triathlons, traveling, swimming, biking, running, coaching sports and spending time with his wife and kids. His dedication to care has even taken him across the world — he practiced chiropractic care in Ghana, West Africa for two years.
After majoring in biology at Southern Connecticut State University, Dr. Burney went on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic at the National University of Health Sciences, where he was Class Representative Elect, Vice President of the Student American Chiropractic Association, President of the Student American Black Chiropractic Association and Treasurer of the Chiropractic Club. A NASM-certified personal trainer as well as a nutrition and wellness coach, Dr. Burney specializes in prenatal care, child posture correction and sports medicine.
