7 Areas of Life
According to performance and behavioral specialist, Dr. John Demartini, these are 7 areas of life in which the average person finds value.
Think you already have an idea of what values are first on your list? Here’s why we say “think.” Sometimes, it can be hard to see our values clearly—we’re so immersed in them on our day-to-day that we tend to oversimplify. However, when we talk about values, we’re not just talking about what we like the most or what we think we should value most. In fact, many of us are surprised when we realize our true priorities. Here’s how you can figure out what you truly value and prioritize in your life.
So… what were your results? Are they the same as you thought in the beginning? In most cases, the answer is no. The second set of results are your true values at this time in your life. Cool, right? And it’s important to note—just because something is at the end of your list doesn’t mean you don’t value it. In fact, it means it is most likely something you already feel stable or comfortable with. Your top values are usually things you feel you actively need to work on.
On Day 3, we will begin working through these values, using them to assess our most important goals.
“When we fail to conceptualize strong goals, our lives are determined by others.” – Dr. John Demartini
